About a week ago Josh Hutcherson was at the Breakthrough of the Year award show, where he received the Breakthrough Actor in Film award for his work on The Kids Are All Right. Here you can see a video of him accepting the award presented by his co-star Annette Benning, and here are some pictures.

Josh steps into horror

According to AceShowbiz, Josh Hutcherson is going to be in a new teen horror movie called Detention. The story revolves around teenagers in their senior year of high school trying to survive from a serial killer. Hutcherson is apparently also going to be one of the movie's producers, and his co-stars (so far) include Dane Cook, Shanley Caswell and Spencer Locke.

Dennis Hopper has passed away

The two times Academy Award-nominated actor Dennis Hopper, 74, has today passed away due to prostate cancer. Most of you will probably remember him from the AnnaSophia Robb movie, Sleepwalking.

May he rest in peace.

The last season of Oprah Winfrey's talk show will start airing next autumn and she's taking requests from viewers. Since AnnaSophia's movie Soul Surfer is apparently set to premiere sometime next autumn too, wouldn't it be cool to see her and Bethany Hamilton on the show? Big "Carmel" Update

There haven't any big news about Josh Hutcherson's movie Carmel since the project was announced really. But now, the movie has its own website and there's also a new video on Youtube, in which the producers talk about the story while we finally get to see some footage from the movie.

"The Third Rule"

According to IMDB, Josh Hutcherson has another new movie being added to his resume: The Third Rule, directed by Aundre Johnson. The cast also includes Jason Biggs of American Pie fame and Joel Moore who was previously in James Cameron's Avatar. Apparently the movie, which is quite short with a runtime of only 15 minutes, was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 23rd.

Hutcherson, the New Spider-Man?

Some time ago it was announced that the Spider-Man franchise will get another movie reboot instead of another sequel from director Sam Raimi. Now, there's a rumor that Josh Hutcherson might be a good choice to play the lead. Whether this idea develops any further or not, we'll just have to wait and see.

Dream It Out Loud, AnnaSophia!

A while ago, it was learned that AnnaSophia Robb's movie Have Dreams, Will Travel had received a new title, Dream It Out Loud. Now, it seems that movie is going to have some kind of release, because an official site has been opened! The site features loads of never-before-seen photos, cast and crew information, and other stuff. Interestingly, the trailer on the site still bears the old title. You can visit the site here.
