On Wednesday, my connecting flight home got canceled due to a bird strike, so what would've been a flight of 35 minutes duration turned into a 3 hour taxi shuttle ride home.
There were 3 others who were on the same flight and subsequent taxi (it's was an 18-seater plane since our hometown is small-ish). They were a lot older than me. For 30 minutes of the trip it was absolute silence- I would've talked, but we were on the motorway and I didn't want to distract the driver.
Oops, I shouldn't give so much detail when the punch-line is so simple.
So yeah, I broke the silence and initiated conversation- talking to a 50yo lady called Mars and a 70yo lady called Pattie for 2 hours. They both thanked me afterward for the lovely talk :L
It was my pleasure. I intentionally asked a lot of questions that would bring about a sweet nostalgia. loool.
Oh yeah, there were 3 of us, but one man was Portuguese and claimed to speak little English.
The taxi driver was listening and joining in as much as he could without getting too distracted.
That's like the last decent thing I did.
When was the last time you cried happy tears, and why?
